Revision of Service Tax from 10 to 12 percent and configuration of one India rate

Service tax is revised from the existing 10% to 12%. Modification need to be done in the Point Of sale module to incorporate the changes.

Pre Requisites:

Update-2 to Meghdoot 7.0 Released on 21.3.2012

Service tax need to be modified using the Supervisor –> Configure –> Tariff Revision –> Service Tax

In order to keep the Local Speed Post rate as Rs.12/- and One India One Rate as Rs.25/- , the following configuration need to be done.

a. For local articles for the weight slab of 1-50 Grams, the speed post rate should be configured as Rs.10.67.

Supervisor -> Configure -> Tariff Revision -> Speed Post Inland ->Local

b. For all distance slabs for the weight slab of 1-50Grams, the Speed Post rate should be configured as Rs.22.24 using the following menu option.

Supervisor -> Configure -> Tariff Revision -> Speed Post Inland 

Distance Slab – Upto 200 KM  

Distance Slab  201-1000KM

Distance Slab 1001-2000KM

Distance Slab  >2000KM

For all the above distance slabs the speed post rate should be configured as Rs. 22.24.
